This collection contains two boxes.

Box 1: 1838-1975 with undated materials at the back, 11 folders containing documents, letters, photographs, and other materials.

Box 2: 1916-1957, five books including ledgers, a training book, and an undated address book.

Biographical / Historical

George W. Trimble, II (1920-2012) was a graduate of Massanutten Military Academy and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He was a member of Strasburg Christian Church and a Master Mason of Spurmont Lodge No. 98, Strasburg. He received a recognition letter from the Town of Strasburg for having over 100 years of combined service to the community. He served on the Strasburg Town Council, the Strasburg Fire Department, and was a member of the Strasburg Museum. He was a life member and officer with the Strasburg Volunteer Rescue Squad. George was married to Frances Cornelia Palmer Trimble and they had two children, Rebecca Doll Trimble and George W. Trimble, III.

Abstract

A variety of materials collected by Strasburg resident George Trimble, including Strasburg Rescue Squad photographs and documents, Strasburg Museum documents, and other Strasburg ephemera.
