Processing Information

Material was originally stored in a series of cardboard boxes of various sizes (approximately 8 linear feet).

Boxes were stored in the attic of the Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce building in downtown Woodstock, Virginia.

Boxes were removed and evaluated for mold, etc. due to water leak. None found.

Original order of materials had been lost following reboxing by chamber staff when items were placed in storage. Order at the time of donation was based on item size and available boxes.

Items were removed from original boxes and sorted by item type and then arranged by date.

Materials were then foldered or wrapped if needed and rehoused in appropriate boxes. Photographs were sleeved and placed in individual envelopes.
